Wow! I can’t believe that I’m actually creating a Spring Newsletter like I said I would. It came organically because I have some big news that I need to share with people, and I’m trying to figure out the most efficient way to communicate it – and alas, the newsletter form called to me.
Here’s my big news:
Housing
- I’m moving out of Treehouse June 13th!
- I am looking for a new living situation in the Los Angeles area to move in end of July/August with budget of $1500 ideally with roommates interested in co-living. If interested, let me know!
Graduation
- I graduate from my Masters at CSUN on May 18th, 2024!
- Graduation party is May 26th as part of the Treehouse Sunday dinner/open mic night! RSVP here
Summer
- I finish teaching for the year on June 12th and begin to SUMMER.
- For the summer, I am planning to go to the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics June 24th to June 29th in Boulder, CO – if you would like to join me, let me know! I am looking at renting an AirBnB to live in for the week.
- Then I’ll be traveling until July 16th, when I’ll return to LA! Currently thinking to go to:
- North Carolina
- UK
- Iceland
From now until May 18th – I have to lock in! I have to write my dissertation, complete my comp exams, write two essays, and attend class for 5 hours every Thursday ON TOP of working full time at Kyger High School where things are really stressful right now.
I am about to become incredibly routiney. This is what I do when I am stressed with limited time and brain power. If you want to be part of my routine, let me know!
Oh, and CATE 2024 and AWP 2024 went really well! I learned so much about my place in the teaching and writing communities, and met some awesome people! Just back from Desert Scape Film Festival to see Breakup Season!
I wasn’t able to write about CATE, hopefully in the summer!
