Crazy for Loving You

By Sammy Ginsberg

Sitting in the center of Huddersfield on a bench listening to a busker and watching life go by. If anyone knew that a girl who grew up in Calabasas, starred in Trainspotting 2, and had three nipples was sitting on a bench where King Street hits New Street, they would say, “What are you doing here?”

But no one asked, and I said nothing. I sat writing in my journal and crying as every song touched my heart. His voice captured the pain of the world.

Crazy for thinking that my love could hold you

I’m crazy for trying and crazy for crying

And I’m crazy for loving you

“Crazy” by Patsy Cline

Oh, that’s how I felt. Crazy for trying to love you. Everyone walked past, headphones in, phone in hand, dragging their bodies up and down the high street.

“Only one person is listening to me,” the busker moaned into the mic. No one stopped, no one listened, only me, and I wasn’t even supposed to be there.

It only takes one; one person who listens, one person who believes in you, one person to change the world.
