BIO

Doug Osborne played cello at an early age and switched to guitar. Received a Bachelor’s Degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston and played in a number of bands in the Northeast – in clubs, theaters, and festivals. Moved to L.A. and played on some great stages. Continues to writes songs and sing, play guitar and bass and other instruments, and Produce and Mix artists such as Casey Fallen.

LP: How would you describe your art?

Passionate Pop That Matters

LP: When did you start performing?

They handed me a cello when I was 7. By the time I was 12, I was the best cellist in my age group in the state of Indiana, but I gave it up to play guitar.

LP: Who are your influences?

James Taylor, Frank Zappa, Hoagie Carmichael, Joni Mitchell, XTC

LP: If you were given $1,000 dollars for an art project, what would you do?

Pay the crew! Sound, lights, promotion…the people who make the presentation of the art possible.

LP: What do you think the function of art is in the 21st century?

Truth. Maybe not facts, but Truth.

LP: Why did you sign up to perform at PorchFest 2025?

I have a number of friends who have performed at PorchFest, mostly in New England, and they had a great time.
