Update #44: My Birthday Plans!

By Sammy Ginsberg

It’s my birthday! Woo!

Everyone has different ways of celebrating, we are living in the time of micro-cultures and hyper-individualism. I wrote a whole zine about this called Happy Birthday Bitch, or Why Birthdays Trigger My Social Anxiety (that you can find here!). LOL!

I like to celebrate my birthday by having a party where I invite all the people in my life who support me and have supported me in doing the things that I love and value, and do something that I love and value. We’ve picked up trash together, we’ve listened to toilet poems, we’ve dressed up as our favorite writers!

This year, I have decided to celebrate by inviting you to join me in a few of my current and aspirational wellness routines, and launching one that I’ve been dreaming of starting! As you may or may not know, I love routines!! They really soothe my nervous system.

I almost created a Partiful, but I recently learned that Partiful has many board members who are also on Palantir, a publicly traded company that enabling government agencies, militaries, and corporations to combine and analyze data from multiple sources to support intelligence operations, counterterrorism analysis, law enforcement, and enterprise analytics. I don’t want to give them the data on who my friends are and how I like to use my personal time!

So, instead, this is my invitation!!!

I would absolutely love for you to join me at one of my wellness routines!

#5 is VIRTUAL! So if you don’t live driving distance in LA or aren’t able to make the drive, can party on ZOOM! <3

You joining me is the gift! My primary love language is quality time and my secondary is acts of service! You choosing to join me at something that we both enjoy, as well as something that is important for my health meets both of these needs!!

If you want to do one of these things with me, but are super busy or it’s not a good time. Totally understand! Just let me know and can schedule another time to do one of these things together!

If none of these things interest you, and you don’t want to go to any of these things! That’s totally cool! Can just email me happy birthday, and share with me why you want to stay connected, how I can best support you this year, and how you like to celebrate your birthday!

Excited to celebrate with you!

Love youuuuuu!!

Sammy
